Thank You For Your Donations
So much is happening with Cape Fear SORBA as of late, it is hard at times to keep up with all the breaking news. Nonetheless, we never want to ride so fast we neglect to give a big thanks to those who surprise us with their generosity throughout the year.
Recently, we were presented two separate donations from two partner clubs in Wilmington and we would like to say a public thanks!
Thank you Maryanne and Steve Mangiacapre for leading Cape Fear Cyclists to share with us some proceeds from the Hot 100 in September 2012. Cape Fear Cyclists has a rich history as one of the largest cycling clubs in NC with 425 members and one of the most active in terms of events. Visit here if you want to know more about how to be a member of Cape Fear Cyclists. Cape Fear Cyclist on Facebook.
Also, thank you Jim Mincher for the generous donation from Run for Ray trail run held yearly at Brunswick Nature Park. The Run for Ray Trail Run is a fund raiser for the Ray Underhill Foundation, the family and the Chordoma Cancer Foundation. Ray will be remembered by some as a Powell-Peralta Bones Brigade pro skateboarder of the late 80’s with the smooth style and deep bag of tricks. Chordoma took his life prematurely on August 1, 2008 and this event honors his memory as well as to help his wife and two young children. 100% of the proceeds go to the Ray Underhill Foundation, the family and the Chrodoma Foundation. This year’s Run for Ray is coming up very soon, Saturday, February, 23rd and we encourage you to support this race benefit. Run for Ray on Facebook.
Thank you Cape Fear Cyclist and Run for Ray for investing in our mission to provide the Cape Fear Region with safe and sustainable off road trails!
