Longshot Productions, Inc. Launches Spring 2011 Youth Mountain Bike Series
First Event Takes Place on March 26, at Blue Clay Bike Park in Wilmington, NC
WHAT:
The Spring 2011 Youth Mountain Bike Series consists of three mountain bike events over three months, starting in March, and is open to elementary through high school age youth. The events will promote health and wellness activities, outdoor recreation and the use of the parks system in New Hanover County. Event organizers encourage friends and siblings to enjoy an afternoon of trail riding, socializing and friendly competition. Blue Clay Bike Park is a fun, exciting course for riders of all ages and skill levels. All elementary school participants will receive a finisher’s award. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the middle school and high school divisions. Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers of the series. All three events in the series will feature an on-site bike fit and maintenance station, along with vendors who encourage other exciting, outdoor activities. Mountain biking participation is open to elementary, middle school and high school students only. Family and friends are welcome to support and join in the fun.
